So far, September hasn’t been the greatest. With only 9 days into the month, I’ve almost been kidnapped (it’s a long story), my car has been broken into twice, I got a parking ticket, our fridge broke + we’re currently quarantined due to a COVID-exposure. Plus, that’s not even all of it… just the stuff I can say on the internet!
Typically September is my favorite month. It’s my birthday month (mark it down: Sept. 23, y’all) and our anniversary. Maybe it’s just a little bit of a bad luck streak??? And like, honestly, there’s still so much to be grateful for.
Let’s not focus on all that lame stuff though and jump into this month’s Raleigh Roundup—a take on the “currents” in my life, with a local twist!
Eating: Empanadas & More at Grace Park in Morrisville. This place deserves some more local love. They’ve got incredible food, service + decor!
Drinking: Pink Drink from Happy + Hale. (They recently opened a new location in Six Forks Station!)
Listening: Workin’ On It with Meghan Trainer & Ryan Trainer.
Playing: At Jordan Lake. Hiking, hammocking, swimming. All the fun things! Jordan Lake also has multiple campgrounds that we’re hoping to check out soon.
Loving: Burn Boot Camp, always.
Anticipating: Fall. Raleigh, N.C. in the Fall is magical. Check out this article on Visit Raleigh (where I work) and start planning your Fall.
Feeling: Burnt out. Looking forward to a massage + facial at Hand & Stone.
Reading: The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood.
Watching: Only Murders in the Building. (I just finished last night!)
Planning: Our trip to Philadelphia at the end of the month! Send all your recommendations + tips my way, please!
