Essentials for Dog Lovers

I am absolutely obsessed with my dog, Kona and feel no shame about it. Mostly because I know a lot of other dog parents feel the same! We find nothing wrong with giving our dog’s the very best. I spoil Kona with toys, treats, and other goodies —only because she deserves it! Therefore, I put together a list of essentials every dog lover needs! Some of these things are for your furry friend, while others are for you 😉

1. I Just Want To Hang With My Dog Shirt

I love my dog SO much and I want everyone in the world to know it! You too can exclaim it by wearing this shirt. Plus the shirt is Bella brand, so it’s super comfy and cute.

The best part 20% of your purchase will be donated to a local Chicago animal shelter! TheDailyTay, the Etsy shop’s owner, has donated more than $7,000 to Felines and Canines shelter since designing this look.

No better way to say, “Oh, you want to hang out Friday night? I’ve got plans.” With someone who has a wet nose and furry ears.

2. Friendship Collar

All my friends know I’m the crazy dog lady so they always buy me dog related items for special occasions. One friend bought Kona and me friendship collars for Christmas this year!

Kona got a collar and I got a matching bracelet. We have the matching “Pedigree Princess” set but the collars come in various designs.

Take a look yourself!

3. Print Your Pet Socks

I think these are so darn cool! You can actually make your dog a part of your wardrobe now! These socks will give you maximum comfort and style.

You upload a pic of your pet, they recreate the photo by hand, then print the artwork using a high heat pressure system onto the sock. I’m not the only one amazed by this, right? (Print Your Pets also does this with blankets, shoes, phone cases, etc.)

Get your dog on a sock here.

4. NaturVet Treats

I’ll be the first to admit it… Kona is totally spoiled! However, I like to buy things she enjoys but that will also keep her healthy! That being said, I love NaturVet! These treats are yummy (at least Kona thinks so) and keep her coat nice and shiny.

Back in September, Kona kept losing fur and these treats were recommended to me. Ever since she’s had no problems! NaturVet also has tons of other great products.

5. Interactive Doggy Game

Dogs are consistently growing and learning too. It’s important we keep them physically and mentally healthy. An easy way to do so is by purchasing a doggy game!

This game is an interactive dog feeder that would challenge your dog to work for its food. Games like this make your dog think while having fun at the same time! Plus the interactive game helps slow Kona’s eating down.

Let’s play.

6. Freshener Spray

Of course, my dog sleeps in our bed with us every night. She is such a bed hog and sometimes her snoring wakes us up. But I wouldn’t want it any other way!

Unfortunately, I can’t give Kona a bath all the time so sometimes she can get a bit smelly. (*gasp* A princess?! Smelly?!) I like to freshen her up with a little spritz of puppy perfume. This Lavender & Mint Dog Spritzer smells great!! So when we cuddle up together at night she smells wonderful.

7. Dog Ball

This is Kona’s new favorite ball! This ball is great because it keeps her entertained for hours. The outer ball has another ball inside of it that makes it go all wibbly wobbly! So, when you through right… it’ll go left!

She loves chasing after the ball as it goes all different directions! It’s also the perfect size!

8. Coffee Mug

Kona wakes me up early every day and mornings can be RUFF. Thank God for coffee! However, this coffee mug gets me motivated and ready to start my day.

I just want to drink coffee, save animals, and take naps. Is that too much to ask for?

You feel the same?

All that’s left to do now is show off just how much love you have for your fur-baby! Hey, come on, dogs are nicer than most humans.
