What We Ate in Nashville

January 18, 2019

During our time in Nashville, Tennessee we enjoyed tons of great food! Before we went to TN, I was on a diet and by the time we got back, I gained 5 pounds. However, I have no regrets! In this post, I’m sharing some of the places we stopped for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Biscuit Love

(Note: We forgot to take a pic before destroying the meal!)

I heard about Biscuit Love in Nashville, TN from Helen in Between and knew it was a MUST! We waited in line for 45-minutes to sit down and it was well worth it. We also got to bring Kona inside which was an added bonus. They typically have an outdoor patio for you and your pups but it was way too cold for anyone to eat outside. So… Kona, Ryan, and I really enjoyed our breakfast together!

If you couldn’t guess by the name, Biscuit Love specializes in Biscuits! My gosh… Their biscuits are AMAZING! When you get inside the restaurant, you wait in line to order, sit, and your food will be brought to you. I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon (which comes with a biscuit) and Ryan got biscuits and gravy. Delicious. I also was in the mood for Hot Chocolate which also turned out to be delicious. However, you need to get their bonuts. Yes, bonuts. They are the little cinnamon balls of heaven topped with a sweet twist of soft butter.

Biscuit Love is located in The Gulch, which is by far my favorite community in Nashville. After breakfast, you can walk around The Gulch and check out some cute boutiques and other local shops.

The Pub

We actually stumbled upon The Pub while walking around The Gulch and went in on a whim! I was surprised by how big and popular it was inside! When you take a step into The Pub it’s like taking a step into 1990’s Great Britain. The music and decor hugely help radiate that vibe! During dinner, I couldn’t help sing along to Queen, The Beatles, etc…

Their food was amazing but it was the beer and cider that really amazed me! The Pub has HUNDREDS of beers and ciders on tap, including a “pull your own beer” wall. It was so cool! For food, we just got burgers but enjoyed Spinach Dip as an appetizer. After dinner, you can head to the back of The Pub for some games. They have some pool, darts, and other fun things to do. The Pub was an absolute great time!

 Hattie B’s

If you know me personally, you most likely know I am obsessed with fried chicken. So when I heard that there is a famous chicken joint in Nashville, I knew we had to go. We waited an hour IN THE RAIN just to get inside but after our first bite of chicken, the crowd was understandable. Hattie B’s has the best fried chicken you will ever have in your life. Don’t believe me? Hattie B’s has been featured on Netflix and The Try Guys.

They offer a whole range of chicken entrees, however my favorite is the spicy chicken sandwich. If you can not handle hot, do NOT get more than the “mild” seasoning… you WILL leave crying. I also ordered their macaroni and cheese that surpassed my expectations! The mac n’ cheese was a wonderful, spicy mix of noods and cheese. To top it all off, we shared a root beer float. I hadn’t had a root beer float in so long and it definitely hit the spot!
