Since moving to North Carolina, I recently discovered Trader Joes and instantly fell in love. Trader Joes has great food at great prices (plus it’s only five minutes from my work). You probably already know how awesome TJ’s is but did you know they have some of the best deals on wine?
I bought a plethora of Trader Joe wines and had my own little wine-tasting on my living room sofa. Listed below are my top five favorite wines from Trader Joes —all only 7$ or under! These wines are classy and won’t break the bank. So next time you need a bottle to take to your friend’s house or to have with dinner, stop by Trader Joes with this list in hand! Be sure to pick up some cheese and crackers in the next aisle.
Contadino Pinot Grigio (6$)Â
I rarely drink Pinot Grigio considering I don’t have much of a liking for it. Most Pinot Grigios are too crisp and dry for me (#unpopularopinion). However, I was pleasantly surprised by Contadino’s Pinot Grigio. The wine was bubbly and refreshing with a light taste of apple and pear. The wine is a pale yellow with flecks of green which also spotted my interest. At only 6$, this bottle is a great value!Â

Velvet Moon Cabernet Sauvignon (6$)Â
Don’t ever try to get me to pronounce Cabernet Sauvignon in real life because it’s impossible. I prefer red wines so I was so excited to try Velvet Moon’s Cab Sav! Doesn’t the bottle just look fancy? The wine itself is an elegant, dark ruby color. Pour yourself a glass for a delicious treat. Velvet Moon Cabernet Sauvignon goes down smooth and silky. If you  don’t identify as a “wine person”, this wine will make you think again.

Green Fin Grenache Rose (7$)Â
I have heard so many great things about this wine that I wanted to give it a try. Green Fin is produced in the heart of Napa Valley, CA so it was bound to be good. The wine smells like cherries and strawberries —and tastes like it too! If you’re looking for a wine to pair with your steak, I wouldn’t recommend it though. This wine is definitely more of a fruity drink. Perfect for the summer time.Â
Stars: ⋆⋆⋆⋆
Artius Chardonnay (6$)Â
You can never really go wrong with a Chardonnay! Chardonnay is the most basic of wines. Artius Chardonnay was a sweet and savory wine for a cheap price. It had a rich taste and strong smell. Although I’m only giving it two stars, I drank the whole bottle…

Cecilia Beretta Prosecco (6$)Â
While Prosecco could be classified as a champagne, it technically is sparkling wine so it’s in the running!
I absolutely LOVE Cecilia Beretta Prosecco and am sure you will too. This secco is bubbly and tangy. Making it the perfect drink to mix juices with to create a Summer cocktail. (Or warm apple cider in the Winter.) They also sell a Peach Prosecco and Cranberry Prosecco that I haven’t yet tried but am excited too! Bottom line: an excellent wine.

Omg your socks are the best!! Need.
I love Trader Joe’s — unfortunately I don’t think there are any in my area that sell wine–would make my life so much easier! Thanks for sharing, will def reference this next time I see one that does sell bottles… I can’t believe the prices!
I adore Trader Joe’s! We used to buy their wine by the case, I’m so not kidding! We haven’t in awhile and I honestly don’t know why, I really should get back there as we’re trying to save money but still enjoy things like wine! I like both white and red, depends on the meal I’m having!
Oh sweetheart you just made my day! I drink that exact Secco. I pay 4.95 a bottle in my town and I’m obsessed. Unfortunately, it has become just a special treat for me since going low carb. It still only has 2-3 carbs but I could put a bottle(or 2) of that down. ha!
I haven’t tried any of these!! But I need to! Also, I love the socks. Those are great.
I love that Chardonnay! I just discovered it at Trader Joe’s a few weeks ago, and I’ve repurchased several since then! =)

Totally with out, TJ’s has the BEST wine. I only buy wines from there and adore almost all of them. Green Fin Rose and Secco are on my regular rotation too 🙂
Their Green Fin Pinot Grigio is really good to! Love Trader Joe’s 🙂
I’m headed to Trader Joe’s in a few hours and I needed to know some good wines to buy. I get stuck in my habit, but my best friend is coming to town and I wanted something different.
Trader Joe’s has so much good stuff. Thanks for my new wine list when I head back there this weekend!
wine is my fav!!! Il have to try these out!
Thanks a lot, Carly – you’ve exposed the world of cheap wine that looks tre expensive from Trader Joe’s! I’m a rum and Coke guy, but when I go high-brow, I will pick a merlot to complete the ensemb. Double props to you for 1) draining a bottle of wine you rated two stars; 2) those socks! Royalty, you are. Grateful we’re both in the Peaceful Posse.
I buy their Charles Shaw (aka 2 Buck Chuck) chardonnay for my chicken picatta. So much cheaper than grocery store cooking wine.
I’ve been on such a rosé kick here lately! Obviously I have to try that Green Fin!
This list is great! I’m excited to take a trip to trader joes so I can get all these wines!!
Oooo I love Green Fin! Trader Joe’s has the best selection.
I love this! Sadly my Trader Joe’S does not have wine. I’m not sure why. Maybe it is a NY thing. Either way, if wine ever does come, I’ll have to give them all a try!

I love all wine, but I especially adore that Prosecco from Trader Joe’s – it’s so good (and is great in mimosas, too!) Love the socks!
Need to try these! I love a good wine.
I love wine but I don’t have a Trader Joe’s around me!

Ah, I just love TJ’s! Their wine section is the best too! Will definitely be checking out these choices on my next trip!
Dark Horse is my favorite TJ wine. Is it bad that I can’t write “Thanks for the recommendation…can’t wait to try these!” because I have tried them all? Haha.

I’m definitely going to give these wines a try! I love shopping at Trader Joe’s but I never know which wine to purchase, so thank you for sharing your picks!
I was just heading to trader joes! Definitely picking up one of these bottles!

A coworker of mine always buys wine at Trader Joe’s. She practically swears by it. After reading this, I’ll have to check out their selection.
These all sound great and those are great prices!
I’ve never bought wine from Trader Joe’s! I definitely need to now that I know some great ones to pick out.
Love this! We don’t have trader joe’s in Canada, but I love to drop by when I’m in the US!
