Raleigh, NC is a very modern city that likes to keep up with the times —always opening cool new restaurants, hip downtown bars, and hosting incredible community events. Raleigh businesses know how to cater to their demographic, which includes our furry friends too. Raleigh prides itself on being dog-friendly.
This Summer, check out some of my Raleigh favorite attractions that fido can tag along with! Whether you are in the mood for ice cream, arcade games, or just hanging out… your pooch is down too.
Millbrook Dog Park
Just look how happy these pups look!!! There are a bunch of great dog parks in Raleigh but Millbrook Dog Park takes the cake! Millbrook is the place for you and your doggo to meet new friends, let out a little energy, and relax after a long day. They even come equipped with a little pool for your pup to splash around in on hot summer days. The best part? Millbrook recently won the Beneful Dream Dog park contest, meaning they’re getting a $30,000 makeover!
The Original Flying Burrito
First off, The Flying Burrito’s Tex-Mex is AMAZING! Make sure to go on a Tuesday for dollar taco night. They often have live music as well… which is awesome. During the winter, you may want to leave Fido at home but when the weather gets warmer, they offer outside seating. They will also bring your pooch a doggy bowl and some chips (if you want). Fido is also bound to get lots of pets and love.
Lynwood Grille
Lynnwood grille is actually right across the street from The Flying Burrito. So whether you’re in the mood for tacos or pizza, you can head to Grove Barton! I personally love Lynnwood because they have BOMB gluten-free pizza and drinks. You and your pup can hang out either in the outside area or rooftop bar.

Boxcar Barcade
Boxcar Barcade has my three favorite things… games, cider, and dogs! And unlike Dave n Busters or Frankie’s Fun House, game tokens are free. Plus they have Pacman and Mario-cart. When you get the munchies, Boxcar also has free movie-theater popcorn at all times. Could it get any better? Your pup is sure to love it too! It’s a tail-waggin good time.
Crankarm Brewery
Crankarm Brewery is another super cool, dog-friendly bar in downtown Raleigh. Crankarm is a cyclists dream hangout because the place is “bike-themed” but you’re still welcome to come even if you don’t ride… and Fido is welcome too! Dogs are actually even allowed inside. (Just like any other dog-friendly place, they just ask, please be responsible for your pooch and keep an eye on them.) They may not have arcade games but they do have jenga XL, and connect-four.
Fresh.
I may be bias but Fresh. has the absolute best ice cream in Raleigh. I actually didn’t realize HOW dog-friendly Fresh. is until one of Kona’s dog friends had their birthday party here! Besides tons of outdoor seating, they actually have a menu option just for pups! Order a dog sundae at Fresh. and your pup will love you fur-ever. I’ve never seen Kona eat something SO fast ? The dog sundae is made especially for our four-legged pals and includes sugar-free vanilla, peanut butter, and is topped with a doggy treat. While Fido will love it, I suggest you try something different.
